A:How was your business trip to Hong Kong?(홍콩 출장 어땠어요?)

B:It was quite successful as they decided to purchase our brand-new products.(아주 성공적이었습니다. 그 회사가 우리의 신제품을 구매하기로 결정했거든요.)

A:That is great.I’d like to give out this news to our teammates.(정말 잘되었네요. 우리 팀원들에게 이 소식을 전해야겠어요.)

B:Thank you but please wait by tomorrow morning.(고맙습니다. 그런데 내일오전까지만 기다려주세요.)

A:The announcement can wait but why?(발표야 나중에 해도 되는데, 그런데 왜요?)

B:First of all,I’d like to brief our boss on my business trip.(우선, 사장님께 출장에 대해 보고 드리려고요.)

▶ brief A on B:A에게 B에 대해 간략하게 보고하다. 브리핑이라는 말은 “간단하게 요점을 보고하다”라는 의미이다. 여기서는 brief를 동사로 사용한 것이다.

▶ brand-new: 새 것의, 새로운

▶ give out (this news): 내보내다, 알리다, 공개하다. He gave out the interview result to us this afternoon.(그는 인터뷰 결과를 오늘 오후에 발표했다.)
